The minutes of ,.e last regular meeting held ite.. r 19th . and t:meeting adjourned therefrom held L.ar hJ2oth, 1934 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the L:ayor. 1;0 persons appearing at this time, the order of Public Hear- ings was passed and the Council proceeded to hear communications and reports. ._ letter from the Colorado Power Company offering a set price for its equity in the site of the proposed Cit;, power plant on the.:okeiu:mne .._ver ;:as read at length on motion of Councilman ..eine, Steele second, t:^.a followinO resolution was adopted: ?250L1i T I01: 1,0. 711 WHEREAS the Colorado Power Company has tendered option commitment for the purchase of its interest in lands on wfi3.. the City contemplates constructing its hydro -electric power plant, and 'WH,REAS said option commitment as contained in letter yfrom said Colorado Power Company dated April 1934 is accordance with the understanding heretofore had as to the acquisition of said property, 3s 1? ?23OLVED b; this City Council of the City of Lodi that said option commitment be and the same is hereby accepted and that said Colorado Power Company is herein re,uested to de;^osit with the _=farmers u :..erch>ants Sank of Lodi, as Trustees a bargain and sale deed for the said properties, together with proper escrows instruct- ions. The report of the Chief of Police for the month of ..:arch was received, read and ordered filed; also the quarterly report of the Lodi 'volunteer 'ire Department for the quarter ending ..:arch 31, 1934. The .Clerk read a resolution adopted by the Board of Directors of the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce at a special meeting held - rci 29, 1934 wherein they endorsed the proposi- tion of submitting a bond eleotion for the construction of a hydro -electric plant to to people. Three building permits for struotares and alterations to cost 0500.00 were ordered granted.
