M. on the date first above 1rritten, Council- man Clark, Geagle, Spooner, Weihe and Steele (Liayor) present, none absent. Immediate consideration of the annual budget and tax rate for the fiscal year 1934-35 being the object of the meeting, the Council reviewed the financial statements submitted by the City Clerk and estimates from the Library Board and Attorney's office, finally fixing the tax rate by the introduction of ORDIt;ANCE No. 198 "Aiv O�DII:AIXE LEVYING TAX33 IY PROVISIO 10: REVENUE FOR T':7_- ?ISO. -1 YEAR BEGI_ININ3 JULY 1, 1933". The forezoine ordinance was laid over for the statutory period of not less than five days, to be taken up for passage at the next rezular meeting of the City Council. Changes in waves and salaries effective October 1, 1933 were made by the adoption of the following: RESOLUTION NO. 688 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lodi that the following named officers And employees of this City shall be paid at the rates per month, per hour or per day set forth here- in from and after October 1, 1933, such rates of pay to be in effect for one year unless changed by resolution prior thereto. 1. Police Judge.. .......Salary...... .; 75.00 monthly 2. Superintendent of Streets.......IT...... w125.00 It 3. Chief of the Fire-'epartment.... ...... 75.00 " 4. Auto allowances to Foreman of Electric Denartment shall be at the rate of :20.00 per month, and to each policeman and to the Chief of Police at the rate of .0,20.00 per month. 10. Laborers employed in street sweeping or in other labor on streets as relief work shall not be employed for more than fort, hours per week and shall be paid at the rate of 35¢ per hour.
