HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - March 21, 193247f; Council Chambers -City Council City Hall - City of Lodi Monday, March 21,1932 This regular meeting of the City Council was call- ed to or by the Mayor at 8 o'clock P.I. on the date first above written, Councilmen Keagle, Roach, Steele, :Ieihe and Spooner present, none absent. The minutes of the last meeting held Varch 7th were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor. No persons appearing at -this time, the order of Public Hearings was passed and the Council proceeded to hear Communications and Reports : A letter thanking the City Council for its co- operation in assisting the country people to have a public dimlping ground was received from Lafayette Farm Bureau. The Committee on a reception to be held April 7th in honor of Governor James Rolph Jr tendered the City Council an invitation to be present. On motion duly carried, the Clerk was directed to accept the same in the name of the City Council. A letter was read. from Mr Am.J.Locke, late Sec- retary -Manager of the League of California Municipalities advi+ng the Council of his separation from to League throaction of the Board of Directors. The Clerk was dired to make a suitable reply. The Clerk stated that Rageth Landscape Com had proposed to re -fertilize the lawns around the City pany Ha11 using tankage at $5.00pper sack. He was authorized to obtain a price from IdAr Rageth and if suitable, have the work done. It appearing that there would be some extra work needed in cleaning up the grounds around the Sewage Disp- osal Plant, the Clerk was authorized to propose to several of those now delinquent in paying their water and light bills, that they work them out at the plant. Cn moticn of Councilman .Ieihe, Steele second, the Superintendent of Public Utilities was directed to replace two blocks of old water pipe in the Lodi Barnhart Tract. Bills in the amount of $ 2,598.07 were allowed and ordered paid as audited.
