Monday, January 4, 1932
This regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi
was called to order by the Mayor at 8.00 o'clock on the date
first above written, Councilmen Keagle, Roach, Steele, ftihe
and Spooner present, none absent.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held December.21st,
1931 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the
Mayor.
The order of Public Hearings was passed and the Council
proceeded to"hear reports and communications.
The retort of the Chief of Police for the month of Decem-
ber 1931 and that of the Poundmaster for the same period
was received, read and ordsred filed.
R. 3. Steyer as Secretary of Lodi Volunteer Fire Department
filed his report of denartmrntal activities for the quarter
etlded December 31, 1931 and the same was read at length.
Three building permits for structures to cost $500.00 were
ordered granted.
ORDINANCE NO. 188, -entitled, " AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE
SALE AND HANDLING OF MILK IN THE CITY OF LODI; PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION TH],REOF; AND REPEALING ALL ORDIN-
ANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH " was
introduced on motion of Councilman Steele, 3eagle second,
and.by the same motion, laid over until the date of the
nest regular meetizig to be held January 18th.
Bills in the amount of $11,579.95 as approved by the Finance
Committee were allowed as filed except that of Lodi Volunteer
fire Department for incidental expenses which was allowed in
the amount of $66.75 only.
On motion of Councilman +'ieihe, Roach second, 17. G. Hurrle
was authorized to order paint for the baths and have the
necessary painting done, also to purchase sufficient lumber
and to erect an addition to the small building on the City
Play -grounds.
No -further business appearing, the City Council adjourned
on motion of Councilman rJeihe.
