Two notices from Attorneys :Rutter and Rutherford
in behalf of S. barley to with old payments under
aesolution of Intention 111o. 72 of the City of iodi was
read, and on motion of Councilman Steele, -Zeaale second,
were ordered filed, and the matter referred to the City
Attorney.
1 communication from J. S. .-_ontgomery asking
the City to give him enou?h insurance next year to recom-
pence him for what he had ?iven up in order to write this
gears business to the City's best advantage was read and
ordered filed.

introduced at the re?ular meeting of 3entember 8, 1931
was brou.trt up for final nassa,e. ,.:r. Hop%ins, City
Judge, was permitted to address the Council on the
question. Councilman Steele moved its passage and
adoption. After some discussion, it appearing that
Councilman ._eagle desired time for further investi?ation
and that Councilman Roach had changed his mind on some
points since the introduction of the Ordinance, Council-
man Steele withdrew the motion and it was agreed that it
be laid over until the next meeting.
Resolution ho. 647 was then introduced by
Councilman Steele.

'+FERIAS, this City Coancil did award to
R_"•_Yy'O!iD R. CRU ---::,Y by its Resolution of .:ward No. 637
dated ?_Tay 13, 1931, a contract for the doing of the work
provided for in Resolution of Intention i.o. 72, passed
by the City Council on Aaril 13th., 1931, and,
H REA3, the Superintendent of Streets did,
conforming with lativ, fix the date for completion of the
work aforesaid as being within ninety (90) days from and
after the tenth day of June, 1931, and
==- City engineer, drvarci K. Hussey, under
date of September 23, 1931 has applied to the City Council
for an extension of the time, for the period of ninety
(90) days, in which said work shall be nerformee, said
extension to date from and after the time orpinally
set in the aforesaid Contract;

Council extends the time of completion of said Contract
and sets the time for the completion thereof to be
ninety (9J) days from and after the 28th day of Septem-
ber, 1931.
Certified to have been resalar13 introduced,
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Todi at an adjourned regular meeting of said Council
held Wednesday September 23rd. 1931.by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen, Steele, ,eagle '1eir_e, Roach _ Spooner.
P;oes: '_'one. Absent: '_;one.
Councilma-n "leihe reported he had ?iven permission
to the lodi Athletic Club to play four or five football
names at Lawrence Park, they in turn to live the City 15;- of
th d ?rosy Fate receipts; also asked for a few benches for
spectators. The ..:ayor instructed the Committee on ?arks to
complete the arrangements wit'r_ the Club on behalf of the City .
