HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - July 6, 1931447 Council Chambers,City Council City Hall,City of Lodi Monday July 6th., 1931 The Cit -Council of the City of Lodi met in regular session at 8 o'clock P.M._on the date first above written, Councilmen Keagie, Steele, ',ieihe and Spooner present at roll -call, Councilman Roach appeared at 8.25 o'clock ?.11. and took his seat in the Council. • The minutes of the regular meeting of June 15th and of the adjourned meeting of June 2nd were read., approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor. The order of Public Hearings was passed and the Council Proceeded to hear communications and reports. The Quarterly Report of the Chief of the Fire Department for the quarter ended lune 30th, also his annual report for the fiscal year were presented, read and ordered filed. The annual Report of Miss Amy L. Boynton, Librarian of Lodi Public Library was received, read and ordered filed. A report filed by the Bureau Of Sanitary Engineering, California State Board of Health made by Engineer Ray L. Derby concerning the City's water and sewage systems was presented for the information of the City Council. The Chief of.?olice and the City Poundriaster filed their reports for the month of June. - A letter from City Engineer Edward K. Hussey concerning the work on Cherokee Lane was read and acting obi the recd mendati on therein, Mr R. T. Belcher was appointed as Deputy City Engineer tc act without compensation from the City. This was done on motion of Councilman -1eihe, Roach -second. Building permits aggregating $550.00 vxere granted. The annual contract for Mazda•Lamp Purchases was given to Electric Equipment Company of 8 .gest Pine Street. City Attorney .!est.presented conies of the contract pro- posed to be executed with .kodbridge Irrigation District for Flowage rihts in the canal but the same were -not accepted as the City had an existing; agreement with D.B.Doepke for sale of part of this water and :.ne contract called for the entire discharge into the canal of all ;raters. Contract referred to City Atuorney for she clearing up of this point. Bills in the amount of $15,514.08 as approved by the Finance Com^ittee were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Roach, 7eihe second. On motion of Councilman Steele the City Council adjourned to and until JuAy 20th,1931-at 8 o'clock P.i. that being the date of the next regular meeting.
