HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - June 1, 1931443 Council Chambers -City Council City Hall - City of Lodi :.ionday,June 1, 1931 The City Council of the City of Lodi met in regular ses- sion at 8.03 o'clock P.M. on the ate above :written, Councilmen Keegle, Roach and ,iei_ne present, Councilman Steele and Mayor Spooner absent. In the absence of the Mayor, Councilman .7ethe was elected Mayor pro -tem and called the meeting to order. The minutes of the regular meeting held. May 18th were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor. Street Superintendent F.C.Dougherty asked the CityCouncil to consider certain alterations in the City's "Elgin" sreet sweeper so as to enable it to be operated outside the gutters and representatives of Super Mold Cor oration being present, he heli them outline the proposed alterations and estimeie the cost. This matter was laid over for further investigation. James L. Carroll appeared in protest against any re-routing of the San Andreas highway that would.start at south of its Present location. J.F.Bruns appealed to the Council in the matter of a -water bill incurred at his place on ^den Street. Referred to the City Clerk. + Reports of the Chief of Police and of the City Poundynaster for the month of May were received; read and ordered filed. Tmatter atter of renewing the Cltry y's bur laand messenger insurance was referred to the City Clerk with instructions to obtain sample policies. Five building permits totalling $3650.00 granted. Bills in the amount of $9,823.94 as approved by the Finance Core ittee were allowed and ordered pain on motion of Ccuncilinan Roach, Keagle second.
