HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - May 18, 193144") Council Chambers -City Council City Hall, City of Lodi Monday,2day 18th,1931 This regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi was called to order by the ?,tayor at 8.05 O'clock P.2-4. on the date first above written, Councilmen Zeagle, Poach, Steele, Weihe and Snooner uresent. The minutes of the regular meeting of May 4th and the meetings adjourned therefrom held on May 11th and May 13th were read, approved'as read and so endorsed by the Mayor. The amount of the bend for faithful performance of Contractor R. H. Crummey was fixed by the -passage of the follow- ing : - RESOLUTION No. 638 Resolution Fixing Amount of Contractor's Bond. under and pursuant to its Resolution of Intent- ion No. 72, ado-pted Avril 13th,1931, this City Council of the City of Lodi did award to RAY_,.OND H. CRU_:2.^Y the contract to: -do certain work more fully described in the said Resolution of Intention and as will appear by reference to the minutes of said City Council, particularly to the minutes on an adjourned meeting thereof held May 13th,1931 and to Resolution of Award No. 537 passed thereat ; =STD, F;�^Bras, it is required by law that this City Council fix the amount of the bond of said Raymond H. Crummey for the faithful performance of said contract ; IT IS -E-21= RESOLVED, that this City Council hereby fixes the amount of the bond to be posted by said contractor to be in the sum of 3IST E3N T :OUSE.*_?D DOLL?RS , (8:L6, 000.00) , conditioned unon the faithful performance of said contract, the surities or surety thereon to qualify in the amounts specified in Section 6 of that certain act of the Legislature of the State of California anproved April 21, 1911 as amended in 1913, 1923, 1927 and 1929 commonly called "Boundary Line Act of 1911" 0 - - - - - - - The foregoing Resolution No. 638 was adopted by the following vote :- AY-_ 3: Councilmen, Steele,Keagle,Roach,71eihe & Spooner. Payrolls in the total amount of $2,454.27 as aonroved by the auditiniz committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Council,-lan :eeice, Roach second. amendments to Ordinance No. 157 relating to boulevard stou signs were ordered submitted. On motion of Councilman Keagle, ;'.'eihe second, Yr Robert U. Searls, associate council in the City's percolating water suits was authorized to enter into such stipulations for con- tinuance of vending action in the San Joaquin County courts as he mi?at deem expedient.
