This re alarmeeting of the Ci -'y Council of the City of
Lodi was called to order oy the Layor at 8.05 o'clock P.M. on
e'^e date first above written, Councilmen Keagle, Poach, Steele,
Teihe and Spooner preeent, none absent.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held February 16,
1931 were read, a2eroved as read and so endorsed by the 'slayor.
On a?plication the Chief of Police :as authorized to
purchase an automobile siren from Er B.C.Dowherty for the sum
of $50.00.

City ringineer.
::r Glenn /est re_.orted that he had again interviewed
Suoervisior Stuckenbruck regarding the Cherokee Lane natter
aria that County Engineer Man hey was preparing to report. The
Clerk said that some of the interested property owners had
stated to him, that they favored the use of cement concrete
pavement instead of asphalt.
Reports of the Chief of Police and of the City Pound -
master for the month of February were received, read and
ordered accepted and filed.
In res _onse to the recommendation of the League of Cal-
ifornia :.;unicipalities and on motion duly put -and carried, the
Clerk was directed to recanmen_d to the representatives of this
district in the State Legislature that Senate Bills No. 52 and
53 relating to public liability be favored for passage.

CounceDIman Steele, Keagle second and by the same period laid
over for the statutory period of not less than five days.
ORDINANCE NO. 184 " AN OR 'I`:ANCB REPEALING 0RDIN NCE NO.
110 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGU1A'TING THE PLr'.NTING, TEE RELOVAL
AND CARE OF TRIPES AND SHRUBS IN THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF LODI"
;,as inercduced on motion of Councilman Roach, Jeihe second, and
by the same motion laid over for the statutory period of not
less than five days.
Superintendent of Streets B.C.Dougherty was instructed
to repair Crescent Avenue.
Superintendent of Public Utilities, Joie: A. Henning, by
letter recainended certain charges and auditions in the Pater
main system leading from the City punu in the Lodi Barnhart
Tract and on motion of Councilman ,ieile Keagle second, he was
instructed to proceed with the work in the manner outlined.
Jr'Denning also called the attention of the City Council
to -the amount and numbers of delinquent -.rater and light bills
stating that owing to the present financial depression it was
difficult and nearly impossible to make certain collection.
Mr Henning eras directed to continue his efforts.
In regards to the ball nark in Lawrence Park; it was
directed that the Coty donate the sun of $150.00 towards its
enclosure and that the users thereof., w:^en stated gate charges
were made, should, donate 10i6 of the gross proceeds of the mimes
toward its further improvement.
Bills in,the amount of $11,704.39 having been aJproved by
the Finance Committee, the same were ordered paid on Lotion of
Councilman .ieihe, Roach second.
