This regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Lodi was called to order by the 'Payor at 8.05 o'clock
P.M. on the date first above written Councilmen Roach,
°feihe and Spooner present at roll -call. Steele absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of August 18th and
the adjourned regular meeting of August 22nd., were read,
a::,proved as read and so endorsed by the = ayor. During the
reading of the minutes Councilman Keagle appeared and took
his seat in the Council.
Mr D. Beronio and hir L.Motter asked permission to open
the camp -rounds formerly occupied by C.R.Gray at Lockeford
Church atreets. Referred to the City Attorney.
Monthly reports of the Chief of Police and of the
Poundmaster for August were received, reada_nd ordered filed.
?eter Jacob aoilied for a card -room license at 105
1'. Sacramento Street and the same was ordered granted subject
to- approval of the Chief of Police.
ORDI_'A NCE NO. 178 - " AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES IN
S YEAR 1930 FOR TIE FISCAL YEA BEGINNING J'U'LY 1
1931 " having been regularly introduced August 22nd.
1930 was brought UD for final passage and _las finally passe.,
adopted and ordered to print by the following vote :-
AYES: Councilmen. .ieihe,Roach Keagle and Spooner.
NOES: Councilmen, None. ABSENT: Councilman Steele;
Mayor,
Ordinance N o . 178 was then approved and signed by the
Three building permits totalling _$500.00 were granted.
Bills in the amount of $12,875.56 as approved by the
Finance Committee were allowed and ordered paid �n motion of
Councilman :feihe, Roach second.
At 8.38 P.E. the Council las resolved into Committee
of -the whole.
Cn return to open session, adjourx uient was taken to
the day and hour of the next regular meeting.
