HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - June 15, 1930394 Council 'Chambers -City Council City all - City of Lodi JQnd ay ,June to ,1930 This realar meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi was called to order at 8.04 o'clock on the date first above written, Councilmen Keagle, Roach, Steele, ,reihe, and Spooner present, none absent. -The minutes of the last regular meeting held June 2nd were read approved as read and so endorsed by the_:ayor.- ]Ir L=�. ouie T. Eason appeared before the City Council in advocation of the purchase of the "Smith Lake" property by the -City for use as a Public park offering the 56 acres therein for the price of $15,000. He also submitted a sketch of the property.+The matter was referred to Committee of the Whole by the Mayor. Tnis being the date set for the reception of sealed proposals for the annual advertising of the City, the Clerk announced that two proposals in proper fore had been received, one from the publishers of the LodiSentinel, the other from the Lodi Mews each proposing to print and publish all notices, ordinances ?-c in accordance with the sueciications at the following prices :- First Next Third Pub. THIS :AS ALSO T:- DATE FCR the reception of sealed bids for the construction of a comfort house in Lawrence Park and the following bids received were publicly opened, canvassed and declared :- T timer Hieb Brothers A.Schl fin «.'Son- $ 1,300.00 (1,2%2 for cement blk) 1,169.99 1,225.00 It appearing that the bid of Hieb Brothers gas the low- est and best bid received under the specifications, award was therefore made to `hem by the adoption of Resolution No.615 Resolution of Award, by the following vote :- AYES: NOES: Councih2en,Steele,7eihe,Ke le,Roach 8: Spooner. Councilmen, None. ABSENT: Councilmen None. • The Librarian of Lodi Public Librarj notified the Coun- cil by letter that the term of office of ':_r George Le Feber as Library Trustee mould expire June 30th and on motion of Councilman 7eihe, Keagle second, Mr Le Feber was reappointed for the statutory tern of three years from July 1, 1930.
