City Hall -City of Lodi
Thursday, April 24th., 1930
Pursuant to adjournment taken from the regular meeting
of oril 21st. ,1930, the City Council of the City of Lodi met
in adjourned regular session at 8.12 o'clock on the date first
above written, Councilmen Keagle, Roach, Steele, .ieihe and
Spooner present, none absent.
L. E. Sherman was granted Permission to cross over the
utters on Sacramento Street and Locust Street instead of break-
ing down the curbs in making entrances to his service station
to be erected on the Southwest corner of these streets.
The Clerk was directed to communicate with the Southern
Pacific Company regarding its failure to cut trains standing
across .Tokay Street.
East Bay L unicioal Utility District invited the City
Council to inspect ?araee Dam on Saturday, May 3rd.,1930.
At 8.17 ?..f. on motion duly put and seconded the Council
Chambers were cleared and the Council went into executive ses-
sion in consultation with the City Attorney.
At 10.10 Pa.. the meeting as again called to order and
on.motion of Councilman Jeihe , Keagle second the City Attorney
was directed to file notice in the Superior Court of this state
for Calaveras County asking for a new trial of case Pio. 1661,
East Bay Municipal Utility Dist, vs City of Lodi &c
City Attorney.Test reported that the matter of the exces-
sive tax levied on his district for library purposes was before
the Board of Supervisors and would no doubt reach a satisfact-
ory conclusion
On motion of Councilman Je the , Steele s;. Gond, ' the manager
of the Municipal Baths was allowed permission to run an adver-
tising slide in a local theatre for ovo months at a cost of
$24.0
Cn motion of Councilman Steele, :Jeihe second, plans and
specifications for a comfort station were ordered prepared, the
sine to be submitted at the next meeting.
On motion of Councilman Steele, the City Council adjourned
to the date and hour of their next regular meeting.
