motion of Councih an Hale, Councilman Roach :;as chosen IL:ayor
pro -tees and the City Council .proceeded vrith the regular order
of business.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held Aoril 7th
:vere react, aoroved as read and so endorsed by '_ayor S:;ocner who
arrived and tbok his seat at 8.20 o'clock during Lne reading
of the minutes.
This being the first rneetipG of the City Council fol-
loaiirg the General ::_unicival Election of April 14th, the Clerk
Presented the official returns of tine election and after can-
vass of the same with no change from the un -official returns,
the folloning resolution ,vas adopted :-

TT EIZE+ORE, BE IT 1. SGLVED that at said general municipal
election held as aforesaid the follov:ing persons were sleeted
to the following offices, respectively :
GEORGE A. K,]AGLE was elected a member of the City Council
for the full tens of four years from and after 'fonday,A-oril 21,
1930 and until his successor shall have been elected ansa shall
have qualified ,
G.11.STE.;I2 was elected a member of the Citi Council for the
full term of four years from and after 1.1onday, �1-oril 21st,1930
and until his successor shall have been elected and shall have
qualified ,
C1TO A. EIRE was re-elected a member of the City Council
for the full term of four years frons and after Yonday, April 21,
1930 and until his successor shall have been:eiected and shall
have qualified The foreg:6 Resolution No. 612 was thereupon passed and
adopted by the followirro vote :-
A IS, Councilmen , Fa.le, Roach, Weihe and Spooner.
NOES, Councilmen, None.
ABSENT ,Councilman Shattuck.
Cn motion of Councilman .reihe, Roach second, the City Council
adjourned sine die.

1:onday,April 21,1930
The newly elected City Cotncilmen beim; in attendance, the
Clerk called the meeting to order at 8.35 o clock on the date
first above written, Councilmen elect George A. keagle, G.1 .Steele
and 0_7,to A. ieihe were delivered c_-rti.fica�es of election and
took the statutory oath of office subscribing their names there-
to and taking their seats on the `ity Council.
On motion of Councilman eihe, Roach second, Councilman J.A.
Suooner was nominated for the office of 1`ayyor Councilman G M.
S,eele ncminated Councilman George i. Keagle r;or this office
but on failing to secure a second the motion was put and Mr.
Scooner declared elected to the office of Payor, Councilman
Steele voting "No".

ment be made as to blend concerts or the coming sumer. lie -rias
informed that ''he arran e-ent in force last year would be con-

Quarterly re_,orts from `he City Clerk and from ':,he City
Treasurer were received, read and accepted.
the City Clerk :ras directed to :Trite Senator ShortridSe
asking him to use his influence to have �'re duty of tele&raph
poles eliminated from the Jones bill, motion CounciLman Steele,
Keag le second.
Cn motion of CounciLman .ieihe, Poach second, L. Sher_?an
;ras granted per-- i:ssion to install an under,, -round .Sasoline tank
on his premises at ,alnut Street and Cheroiee Lane, the same
to comply with all exist in ordinances, the same person was also
allowed permission to erect a temporary "Orange" nut at the
same location.
The 'ayor at this time announced the a_)pointment of the
following standing corr.ittees :-

On an_olication, Ec�;ar Oilkinson & Son:as granted permission
to transfer the present card license at No.1-1 S. Sacra^:ento at.
to Gus Sanguinetti, motion Councilman Jedhe, Roach second. -
Two building- permits for structures aggregating $700 in
cost were granteR.
Bills in the amount of $2,593.73 as approved by the Finance
Conn ittee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Councilman
7eihe, Roach second.
Supt. Heniroras authorized to furnish lighting to the
premises at 8 ':/.Pine Street during "3ducation reek"
The Clerk was directed to purchase athin� caps for the
lunicipal Baths at an approximate cost of $45.00
Cn motion of CounciLman .reihe, Roach second, the Superinten-
dent of Public Utilities was directed to install lights on hand
at the Bast tennis court in Lwarence Park.
Cn motion of Councilman Roach, the City Council adjourned
to 8 o'clock P.Y. of Thursday, April 24th.,1930.
