Monday, October 15th.,1928.

Hale, Roach, Shattuck and Spooner present.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held October 1st.,_
1928 were read, acproved as read and so endorsed by the ::ayor.
Councilman .Teihe appeared and took his seat in the Council.
,i.E.Lcoser, , Fire Marshal & Secretary of Lodi Vchu -
tear Fire Department requested that the Council authorize Pay-
ment for services of emergency firemen who zerved at the fire
on October 13th, at once as many are transient workers. This
was referred to the City Clerk cv the 1 ayor .With instruction to
rake the payments from his Revolving Fund.
,he Clerk read an offer orJurtorted offer to purchase
the City's electric plant f rc .. ink of Tulsa, Okla_ ca
and at :;he suggestion of Councilmen .1eihe, he was directed
to answer that—the City's plant is not for sale under any
price, CCnraitio_i or terms.

to the State Constitution .:as read was ordered filed.
The application of :r.F.Brackett for permission to
install a curb gasoline pump at 12 S.Stackton Street was
denied on motion of Councilman jeihe, Shattuck second as
the Council Savored an iedia.te regulation of these wraps,
perhaps best obtained by an annual license.
Cn .*Potion of 'Councilman Shattuck, ,ieihe second, the
Clerk was directed to advertise for the purchase of a 1- Ton
Truck for the Electrical Department.
Cr_ motion of Councilman .:eihe, Roach second, payment for
coffee and sandwiches furnished the Volunteer Firemen during
the night of October 13th. was assured by the City.
Aeplications for extension of water service to lands on
Cherokee Lane cw _ed by D .B.Darden 2c J.H. F airchilds was referred
to Supt. Henning with the direction that he inform applicants
that they would be expected to pay at least one-half of the
cost and furni3h an easement over their lands.
Cn motion of Co ncilman .:eihe, Shattuck second, the Sup-
crintender_t of-_.blic Utilities. was directed to install an
intersection lizht at Rush • Alley and ashir.Vton Street,
in the ratter of facial injuries sustained by A.Butschy
of 513 t? lborn Street caused by parting of a fire hose during
the fire of Ccteber lath, no act_on was taken due to lack of
information.
The report of the City Plumbing Inspector for the month
of September was read and ordered filed.
The Clerk was directed to obtain Prices on standard "No
Parking in Alley" signs for down -town alleys.
Deports of the City Clerk and Treasurer for the ^uarter
ended September 3Oth. 1928 were read and ordered filed.
.H.Growden protested Against the )Panner of trimming
shade trees on South School Street by electric lineman. Ref-
erred to the Supt. of Public Utilities for investigation and
reedy if needed.
