September 17,1928
The City Council of the City of Lodi met in regular session
at 8 o'clock ..Y. on the date first above written, Councilmen
Hale, Roach, Shattuck, `.Teihe and Spooner present, none absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of September 4th.,1928
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Hayor.
No persons appearing, the order of Public Hearings was
passed and the Council proceeded to hear Co::unicotions and
deports.
A letter asking the opinion of the Council in regard to
making an effort to obtain a share of the state gasoline tax
for munici-aalities and the requiring of personal property tax
receipts as a prerequisite to motor vehicle registration from
the City of Chico was read and at the order of the ILiayor, the
Clerk was directed to ask that these matters, especially the
first item, be taken up for discussion at the annual meeting
Of the League of California Municipalities.
The mayor was authorized to execute an annual contract with
Great lestern Electro Chemical Company for the purchase of
liquid chlorine..
The City Clerk presented his annual report of the finan-
cial transactions of the Citp for the fiscal year ended June
30th. 1928 and on motion of Councilman Weihet Roach second, the
repor'u was ordered accepted and passed to print.

regularly introduced September 4th..1928 was introduced for
passa,5e on motion of Councilman Shattuck, '7eihe secomd, and
finally passed, adopted and ordered to print by the following
vote:-

On motion of Councilman Shattuck, Roach -second and carried
unanimously, it was decided to send but one delegate to the
annual meednp of the League of California Municipalities, Oct-
ober 9th to 13th, the City Cleric to be the delegate.
Three building permits a~-regating $900.00 were granted.
Bills in the amount of $9,532.17 as audited were alloyed
and ordered paid on motion of Councilman Shattuck, Hale second.
No further business appeari.�, the Council adjourned on
motion of Counciamau Hale to meet ctober lst.,1928 at the
usual hour.
