The City Council met in regular session at 8.15 o'clock
? !. on the nate first abov- written, Councilmen Roach,Shattuck,
Feihe and Spooner present, councilman Hale, absent.
The minutes of the regular meetin , of July 2nd.,1928 were
read, approved as read and so endorsed cy the r.•ayor.
Fire Chief B.C.Douggherty recommended the appointment of
'r. Jesse 7. Landback, at present First Assistant Chief of the
Deoartrient as relief truck driver during the vacation periods
of-the present drivers. At' the order of the Council, the matter
was laett in !:_r. Dou`herty's hands.
Cn a,plication of the City Treasurer, the sum of $2,033.99
was orderea transferred from General Fund to Street Assessment
Bond Fund to meet delinquent payments by, the passage of Resol-
ution No. 559 by the following vote:-
AYES: Councilmen, Shattuck, ::eihe, Roach and Spooner.
NOES: ::one. ABSENT: Councilman Hale.
The Library Board applied for lockers to be installed in
the new annex but the Council deemed that the expense should
be born by the Library Fund and it was so ordered.
Two building permits aggregation $250.00 were granted.
Superintendent Hennir5 presented a proposed ordinance
establishing rates for the sale of electric energy and after
considerable discussion the same was given first-reading

T ?G CERTAIN ORDI � twa STABLI- LING RATES FOR THE SALE OF
ELECTRIC ENERGY ?:i TEE CITY OF LODI. Introduced on motion of
Councilman Shattuck, seconded by Councilman Roach.
Bills in the amount of $5,528.93.,_includir_g the amount
ordered transferred by Resolution No. 559 above, were allowed
and ordered paid on motion of Councilman Roach, Shattuck second.
On motion of Councilman Shattuck, Roach second,_ the Mayor
was granted leave of absence from the State for a period of
three weeks.
Cn .':potion of Councilman Shattuck, Roach second, the City
Engineer was instructed to have the bottom of the chlorination
tanks at the Sewage Disposal Plast raised eight inches.
Cn motion of Councilman Weihe the Board adjourned to the
date and hour of their next regular meeting,
