The Cita Council rnet 'at 8.17 o'clock . on the above
date, all members present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of May 7th.,1928
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the ':mayor.
"r Christian Rageth addressed the Council stating that
he had finished the planting of Laurence Park and now _eft it
in the care of the City.
The City Clerk :las directed to write the Board of High
School Trustees inregardto the dangerous condition prevail -
v at Oak Zc ?ose Streets on account of the rose hedge on the
High School grounds, also, to have- the Superinterden of Streets
install a STOP sign for this intersection.
:r John Holman offered 3500.00 for the house on the
Library lot, Z cash, the balance on December 31st. ,1928.This
offer was taken under consideration.
illia.^ B. Collier, 7ayne Tilson and Arthur T. .7elton
applied for appointments in. .he dire Depart:ent.
Three building permits totalling 86,900 were allowed.
On motion of Coti.ncilman,Haie, Roach second-, bills in the
amount of $3,918.19 as approved by the Finance Committee were
allowed and ordered paid.
The Clerk :.as again directed to communicate with Calif-
ornia Co-operative Producers in regard to their intentions
in the disposal of cannery waste.
The Council adjourned on motion of Counci]man 7eihe, to
meet a ain at 8 o'clock 2.H. of Monday, May 23,1928.
As Committee of the .mole, the Council then met with
:'_r G. A. Gerlach, President of the Lodi Volunteer Fire Dep-
artment, Mr. H. Z. Looser,. the Secretary and Mr Jesse Land-.
back, Assistant Fire Chien on matters relating to the good
of the Department.
