The minutes of the regular meeting cf January 16th.,

he reports of the Chief of Police and of the Plumbing
Inspector for the :month of January were submitted, read and
ordered filed, likewise the reports of the Treasurer and City
Clerk for the quarter ended December 31st.,1927.

Council felt that they were not advised as to its merits.

irg of the Ne,w City Hall. This tender :was accented and the Clerk
directed to `'or-ar the School the thanks of the City.
A telegram from 21lec;ric Planing 1'.iill of Stockton offer-
ing to supply four louvres in toilet doors at the New City Hall
for a price of 531.50 installed. The Clerk was directed to secure
prices from local mills.
Cn actio, of Cc ncilm n 7eihe, the salary, of the janitor
of the New City Hall was fixed at $100.00 per month.
The City Clerk was directed to secure prices on a steel
flagstaff for the NewCity Hall, price to be for job complete
and in place.

the City Councils of ..anteca, Tracy and Stockton and cards

n atplication of the Secretary, Lodi District Chamber
of Ca:inerce was allowed the sum of $25.00 toward tate rental of
land for Lodi Airoort.
Cn motion of Councilman . e i he, Shattuck second, the
purchase of L:?irteen yew trees from . B.0 :andert was authorized

a enuient thereto, ::r Christian Rageth was annloy ecl. to move the
trees to sites previously selected by the Council also to plant
a privet hedge along the East line of the City Hall lot from
the northeas corner of. the building to the garage site. A tree
located on the lot of u..T.Dewey, being offered the City, the
fore oing r.aotion las amended by Councilman :ieihe, his second
consenting, so as to include its removal in the -work to be

On motion of Council an S'p_attuck, Roach second, Lodi
Graimar School District ,as allowed a rate on electricity for
heating of one cent (1X) 'per kilo°:ratt hour effective from
meter readings of January 20th.,1928
Bills in the amount of $25,086.38 as aparoved b' the
Finance ComMittee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of
CounciLman S attuck, JTei'r_e second.
Cm notion of Councilman Jeihe, the Council adjourned to
meet February 20th. ,1928 at 8 o' clock ?.I. in the Council
