onday, September 12-1927.
' Pursuant to adjournment taken from tne regular meeting
of September otn.,1927, the City Council of the City of Lodi met
in adjourned regular session at e.00 o'clock P.A. on tne above
date, 'Councilmen Hale, Roach, Shattuck, :keine and Mayor Spooner
present, none absent or tardy.
The minutes of the regular meeting of September btn.
wereread, aeproved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor.
A delegation tram the engineer force of the water works
orally asked for an arrangement of working schedules so as to
allow each employee one day off per week; the matter was taken
under advisement alter instructing the Superintendent of Public
Utilities and the City Clerk to prepare an estimate of costs for
relief.
This oeing the date set for tne opening of sealed pro-
posals for the furnishing of one nundred opera chairs and a
record safe for the new City Hall, the Clerk reported tne fol-
lowing bidders: -
?i. G. lest Company, San Francisco
1.S.Kendall, Stockton
Remington -Rand Company, Stockton (2 proposals)
Tred:ray Brothers. Stockton
Meyer Delver, Lodi
M. Newfield & Sons, Lodi
Bids from the abovenamed persons and firms were opened
and the contents publicly declared.
This, also, was the date set for the opening of sealed
proposals for floor coverings and proposals in proper fore from
the follocring persons and firms were publicly opened and declar-
ed at tnis time: -
Van Fleet Freear Company, San Francisco
Chas. Pike 'urnit.ire Company, Stockton
Frank P. Mc Collin, Lodi
M. Nerfield & Sons, Lodi
Meyer%elver, Lodi
On motion of Councilman eeine, seconded by Councilman
Shattuck, all bads in both the above lettings were taken under
advisement until the date of the next regular meeting of the
Council on September 19th.,19Z7.
Ordinance No.'16O, entitled, " AN ORDINANCE LEVYING
TAXES IN THE YEAR i9. 7 FOR ?HE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1ST.,
l9Zb" having been regularly introduced on September 6th.,19 7
was again read at length, adopted, passed and ordered to print
on motion of Councilman Shattuck and by the following vote: -
AYES: Councilmen_, Shattuck, Weihe, !sale, Roach and
Mayor Spooner.
NOES: Councilmen, None ABSENT: None.
On motion of Councilman Hale, the City Council adjourn-
ed until rs,uu o'clock P.M. of yonday, September 19th.,1927, the
same date and hour being that of the next regular session.
