Monday, June 20th.,1927
This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order by the President at 8.16
o'clock P:;.. on the above date, Trustees Hale, Roach, Weihe,
and Spooner present; Trustee Shattuck absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of May 16th; the
adjourned regular meeting of May 17th._; the regular meeting
of June 6th.; and the adjourned regular meeting of June 9th
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
Mr. Cannon of Cannon Face Brick Company of Sacramento
asked that his products be considered in the erection of the
new City Hall; ?r. Cannon was referred to the general con-
tractor.
Frank L. Thomas applied by letter for appointment as
inspector on the City Hall job, application ordered filed.
Harry F. Roush applied by letter for appointment as
caretaker at City Hall. also ordered•filed.—
The Board discussed the proposed opening of South Church
Street and referred the matter to the City Engineer and City
Attorney for recommendations as to proceedure.
A su;mli.mentary contract with J.H.Carpenter under alter-
nate 1 of the City Hall specifications was approved by the
passage on Resolution No. 520 by the following vote:-
tYES: Trustees, '.Hale,Roach,:'leihe and Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustee, Shattuck.
Southern Pacific Company petitioned for an ordinance
ranting a revocable permit to construct and operate a wye
track at *rade across' East Lockeford Street and North Main
Street. After discussion and the addition of a restriction
as to the preservation of existing sewer lines, Ordinance
No. 159, "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO TEE CENTRAL PACIFIC RAIL-
JA`I CGOANY ( A CORPORATION ) A REVOCABLE PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT
TRACKS OF STANDARD GAUGE ACROSS LOCK 'ORD STREET AND MAIN
STR?,I, IN THE CITY OF LODI" was introduced on motion of
Trustee Hale, seconded byTrustee .7eihe and by the same
motion, laid over for noless than five days.
Bills in the amount of $3,419.62 as approved by a maj-
ority of the finance coramettee were allowed and ordered paid
on motion of Trustee"7eihe. seconded by Trustee Roach. The
claim of McKee & Kropp for painting at the Sewage Disposal
Plant is•included in the foregoing but the Clerk .vas inst-
ructed to withold payment until the work could be accepted.
Specifications and the accompanying plans for furnish-
ings to the new City Hall were approved and adopted by the
passage of Resolution No. 519 by .he following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Roach, :leihe, Hale and Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustee Shattuck.
On motion of Trustee Hale, .the Board adjourned.
