This regular -meeting of the card of :'rustees ::as called
to order by the President at 8.12 o'clock ':`. on the date
first above written, Trustees Hale, roach, Mattuck," eihe and
Spooner present, the latter :residing.
The minutes of the .regular meeting of May 2nd. and of the
adjourned regular meeting of Yay 6th.,1927 were read, aJproved
as read and so .endorsed by the President.
.1;o persons appearing under the head of Public Hearings and
the Clerk' reporting no com:runications, these orders of business
were passed and the Board proceeded to consider matters relating
to the plans and specifications for the neer City Hall. Mr J.W.
Pearce and :'.r Ivan Satterlee of Davis -Pearce Company, the arch-
itects, being in attendance presented the specifications as
prepared and on motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee
Roach, the same were approved and adopted by the passage of
Resolution No. 515 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Shattuck, Roach, Hale '.'eihe and Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, None. 3SRi;T : Trustees, None.
After discussion' regarding alternate No. 5 of the specif-
ications relating.to the proposed electric heating system, the
cake of heater being therein positively specified, Trustee Weihe
changed his vote from Aye to `:ay and moved reconsideration and
on his motion, seconded by Trustee Shattuck and carried by unan-
imous vote, the passage of Resplution No. 515 was rescinded and
the architect was instructed to alter and amend the specific-
ations so as to admit. of competitive bidding on electric heaters.
Three building permits totalling 3500.00 were allowed.
Bills in the amount of 53,684.04 as a;oroved by the Finance
Committee .were allowed and ordered paid on Motion of Trustee
Shattuck, seconded by Trustee .eihe.
Cr. motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee 7Teihe,
the Clerk Mars instructed to prepare specifications and advertise
for informal proposals for painting tie drelling at the Se.rage
Disposal Plant and for certain paper hanging and tinting therein.
The Clerk .las directed to secure fisures on cost of replac-
ing keys broken for. the lockers at the baths.
Cn motion of 'trustee 7ieihe, seconded by Trustee Shattuck,
.7. G. Hume, manager of the City ?aths was granted leave of
absence to attend a convention of the Red Cross at Santa Cruz..
7arshal Christesen appeared in regard to bill of
John J. Fink for police unifor:e, caps and badges. After discus-
sion by members of the Board, the Clerk ::as instructed to ascer-
tain the ruling custom in other Citys as..to the furnishing of
uniforms.
Cn motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Hale,
the Board adjourned until 8 o'clock 7.".. of Tuesday ay 17th.,
