This regular :meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi :las called to order by the President at 8.10 o'clock P.M. on the date first above written, Trustees Hale, Roach, Shattuck, deihe and Spooner present, none absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of April 4, 1927 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President. City Marshal and Street Superintendent F. Christesen, asked that a water sprinkling system be installed at once in the City Park, Locust, Elm, Stockton and dashington Streets. Supt, J.A.Henning, submitted estimates for the Work. .City Engineer L.F.Barzellotti asked that Water be supplied to Lawrence Park. Both matters were referred to the Committee on Streets. Mr. C.A.Kelley of the Stocktbn-?Vokeltmme Canal Company having complained of the dirt -,cashed into the canal by the City storm drains, the Cit Engineer was directed to get in touch with Cdr Kelley and estimate the expense necessary to clear the canal, and if the exRense would be nominal, have the work done. On motion of trustee .Jeihe, seconded by Trustee Hale, Maria Peirano was ranted permission to install basement doors flush with siderala on Sacramento Street opposite her building at 21 No. Sacramento Street. In the matter of the oral application, made to the City Clerk of :J.A.Brown for permission to erect and conduct a camp round at the 16 corner of Church and Lockeford Streets, the Board disclaimed jurisdiction until building permits had been applied for. Four building permits totalling $1950.U0 Were granted. Bills in the amount of $2 513.25 as aooroved by the audit- ing committee were allowed on motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Shattuck. In the matter of the transfer of lands between the City and L.J.Loveless in order to secure a better road to the City dumping grounds: - Resolution No, 511, authorizing the execution of a deed from the City to qtr Loveless for a portion of the South end of the dumpiW, grounds was adopted by the following vote:- AYES, Trustees, Shattuck, Roach, Hale,7elhe and Spooner. NOES. Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, None. ?resolution No. 512, accepting deed from Mr. Loveless to the City for a strip of land along the Southern Pacific right- of-way was adopted by the following vote: - AY --,S- Trustees, Hale, Shattuck, Roach, ^7eihe and Spooner. NGE'S: Trustees, None. ABS d`IT : Trustees, None. On application of Supt. Henning, the -Board ordered the extension of water mains north of Locust Street from Hutchins Street to California Street.
