'his regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi eras called to order by the President at 8.12 o'clock
P.M. on the above date, all members of the Board present on roll
call.

mere read, approved as read and -so endorsed by the President.
- John G. Sckmeidt appealed to the Board to remedy .rater
overflow conditions on Maple Street near its termination gest
of :Washington Street but it appearing t#at the land -in question
had never been deeded and dedicated to public use, he was
instructed to secure blank deeds from the City Clerk and have
them executed so that the street might become public property.
Henry Richter and Curtis E. Hays appeared in regard to
disputed boundary lines but the Board decided that they had
no jurisdiction an the matter.
Fire Chief 'E.H.Stark recommended that the City purchase
two sets of nozzle control ap ratus at a cost of $110.00
each. Referred to Committee o the Whole.
Mr. Bri —s E. Porter stL-rested that the Cit- establish
a nursery plod on a portion oYofawrence Park for the growing
of trees needed on the streets and in the parks.
Yr. J. A. Henning, Supt, of Public Utilities,''.vas authoriz-
ed on ;notion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee ,leihe,
to purchase the sur pus 4" cast iron pipe of Lockeford Utility
District providing that the price did not exceed 501 per foot.
The Clerk read communications from the City of Oakland
nr-ar(iiiig a City Planning Conferance to be held u�arch 4th. & 5th.
from the Assistant Division Engineer of the State Highway
Commission regarding his inability to be present in the matter
of the improvement of Cherokee Lane.

been regularly introduced upon motion on February 7th.,1926 and
by the same motion laid over gor the statuWwory perion of not
less than five days, vas introduced for passage, read and -finally
passed and adopted by the following vote:-

President S ooner, as previously authorized, reported in
full a on the matter of uniformed police officers cite��gg letters
- from the Police Depari*nents of P;Iodesto, _�:Iarysville,Stockton and
Santa Rosa in suo ort of the aided efficiency of uniformed
officers. This mater and also the matter of securing an up-
town office for thepolice department was referred to the Com-
mittee on Public Health & Safety, to report within thirty days.
Bills in the amount of $2,339.42 as approved by the finance
Carmittee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Trustee
Shattuck, seconded by T rastee Roach.
On motion of Trustee Shattuc#, the Board adjourned until
8 o'clock P.bi. of Wednesday, Februar-
y 23rd, 1927, said ad ourn=
