City Hall, City of Jodi
Monday,January 17th.,1927
This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order by the President at 8.08
o'clock P.R. on the date first above written, Trustees Hale,
Roach, Shattuck, meihe and Spooner present, none absent.
• The minutes of the regular meeting of January 3rd.,1927
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
Mr & firs C.J. dill, Mrs P.H.Toney and others apeared
before the Board in regard to draining he portion of Harold
Street between Central Avenue and Garfield Street. The City
Engineer and Street Superintendent were directed to'take such
measures for temporary relief as might be necessary. Applicat-
ion for a street Hatt to be placed midway between Garfield
and Central on Harold was also asked by the sane parties;this
matter was referred to the Committee on Streets.
Mr. J M.Montgomery, a public accountant, aonlied for
employment as auditor of the Cit'ys accounts and at'the order
of the President, the matter was referred to the Cc irittee on
Finance and Revenue for recommendation and report at the next
regular meeting.
Ordinance No. 156, entitled, " AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE N0.154, ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISH-
ING A LODI CITY POUND, SPECIFYING THE CONDITIONS maim WHICH
DOGS, COWS, HORSES , MULES , SHEEP, GOATS, HOGS AND 02HER ANIMALS
SHALL BE YEH;tITTED TO BE WITHIN THE CITY OF LODI' &c." was
introduced, read and on motion of Trustee Shattuck, •seconded
by Trustee Weihe, '_€.id over for not less than five days.
On motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Ireihe,
the President of the Beard was authorized to execute a contract
for purchase of electric meters with Duncan Electric Comvany
of Los Angeles to cover the period January 1 to Dec. 31, 1927.
Two building permits amounting to $140.00 were.granted.
Bills in the amount of $3,602.73 as approved by the fin-
ance committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of -
Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Veihe.
Cn motion of Trustee'�Yeihe, the Board.adjourned until
the day and hour of their next regular meeting, February 7th.,
1927.
