The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi for the third Monday in June was called to order at 8.15
o'clock by the, President; Trustees Hale,Mettler,Roach, Shattuck
and Spooner present. None absent.
The minutes of the preceeding regular meeting held June 2nd
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
No persons appearing before the Board, the order of public
hearings was passed and the Board proceeded to view the detailed
assessment diagrams prepared in the matter of the improvement of
portions of Garfield Street, Central Avenue and Harold Street as
undertaken in pursuance of Resolution of Intention No. 67 and of
a portion of Central Avenue as improved under Resolution of Intent-
ion No. 68; the said diagrams were approved by the passage of
Resolutions No. 454 and 456 :-

RESOLVED, that the diagram.preuared and submitted by L.F.
Barzellotti, City Engineer, showing the district affected and
benefited by the immRrovement of, and to be assessed to pay the
cost and expenses os the improvement of portions of Central Ave-
nue, Garfield Street and Harold Street, Cas described in Resol-
ution of Intention No. 67 of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi passed November 26th.,1923), be and the same is hereby
approved and the City Clerk is hereby directed to endorse said
approval on said diagram and deliver the same to the Superinten-
d`e'nt of Streets

FOR TEE COST AND EXPENSES OF SAID IMPROV ENT .
• RESOLVED, that the diagram prepared and submitted by L.F.
Barzellotti, City Engineer, showing the district affected and
benefited by the improvement of, and to be assessed to pay the
cost and expenses of the improvement of a portion of Central
Avenue, as described in Resolution of Intention No.68 of the
Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi passed Hanuary 21st.,1924),
be and the same is hereby approved, and the City Clerk is hereby
directed to endorse said approval upon said diagram and deliver
the same to the Superintendent of Streets.

The Clerk read portions of correspondence between Supt,
Henning and Mr. Samuel Kahn of the 7estern States Gas and Elect -
Ric Company whereby the power rate at the serage disposal plant
;;as materially lowered by the re-establishment of readings
based on simultaneous maximum demand.
C.O.Anderson applied for a position at the City _umpm*ng
station; application ordered filed.
Reports of the Fire Chief and Secretary of the Fire De-.,)-
artment were read and ordered filed together with the invent-
ory of fire apparatus on hand therewith submitted.
Eleven building permits at a total cost of $6,575.00 were
granted; the application of Wong Fook to construct a frame
addition to a brick building at 10 S. Yain Street was denied
and as the Board was informed that the building was partly
constructed; the Clerk was instructed to notify the owners of
the premises that the same should be-imemdiately removed.
Bills a=mounting to $a were allowed and ordered
paid on motion of Trustee 1ettler.
On motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee lletti.er,
City Attorney Glenn 'Test aas instructed to take the necessary
steps to quiet title to the City's pump site in lot 9, block
2 of the Lodi Barnhart Tract.
On motion of Trustee Hale, the Board adjourned until
8 o'clock P.L. of,Londay, June 23rd.,1924,
