Pursuant to adjournment from he regular meeting of May
19th, the Board of Trustees met at 8 o'clock P. w. on the above
date, all members present.
Clark & Henery Construction Company, the contractors
doing the work ordered under Resolution of Intention No, 68
presented an application for an extension of time; the app-
lication being presented with the time alloyed and being
accompanied by consent of bondsmen, was allowed by the pas-
sage of the following :
_SOL'U'TION
TLEREAS, in accordance with Resolution of Intention
No.68 passed and adopted by this Board of Trustees on the
21st clay of Januar1y, .D.1924, this Board of Trustees act-
ing in accordance herewith and with those certain acts of
the legislature of the State of California denominated
"Improvement Act of 1911" and "Improvement Bond Act of 1915",
did -legally let to Clark & Henery Construction Company the
contract to do certain work more fully set forth in said
Resolution of Intention and in the plans and specifications
adopted for the said work;
AND, . "REIS, the said contract did fix the date of
the completion of said work to be within 100 days from the
date of` commencement of the work as set forth tnerein;
AND,•REAS, prior to the said date set for complet-_
ionof the work, to -wit, on may 21st.,1924, the contractor
did apply to this Board for an extension of ninety days in
which'to complete said work, accompanying the same with the
written consent of bondsmen; 7
BE IT ?SOLVED that this Board hereby grants the said
contractor; Clark & RESOLED,
Construction Company, the exten-
sion asked.
The foregoing resolution passed by the following vote:
AYES: Trustees, SHA TUCK,HALE,'. TTLE,R,ROACH,SHATTUCK.
A map of certain lands as subdivided under the name of
"'Jellwood Park" ryas aoproved by the following:
R.ES OLUT I ON
=1133ASa plat of a subdivision of lots 19,20 and
21 of the Lodi Barnhart Tract, named "Wellwood Park" has been
presented to the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi for
its approval and
eHEREAS�, the lines of the streets and alleys proposed
for dedication conform with the lines of adjacenproperties
and existing streets and alleys, and
S, the City Planning Commission of said City has
recommended the acceptance of said streets and alleys and
the adoption and approval of said plat;
BE IT RESOLVED, THEREFORE, that this Board of Trustees
do hereby accept the offer of the owners of said property to
dedicate the said streets and alleys for public use forever
and do hereby accept and adopt the said plat of this subdiv-
ision;
DE IT AIR= RESOLVFI]; that the President of this Board
be, and he is hereby authorized to attest this approval and
acceptance upon the said plat and the Cit Clerk is hereby
authorized to affix the o=ficial seal of the City upon the
same.
On motion of Trustee :=ale, seconded by Trustee Shattuck,
the proposition of ld.Spiekerman to do certain concrete work
at the resi4ence of the attendant at the se:.age plant was
accepted provided that he filed a proper schedule of the work
to be performed with the Clerk after having same approved by
the Superintendent of Public Utilities.
By order of she President, rope dissenting, the Super-
intendent of P'ablic Utilities was authorized to employ a tractor
and operator to clean up the grounds around the se:,age plant.
he Clerk -,gas directed to obtain assurance from the
eight persons who petitioned on the 19th for extension of nater
service on South Garfield street that they woytld be permanent
users.
The Board been entered into discussion of the plans for
the new -ire house on t:aple Square with architect J.Frank
:?atson, and Er-'atson was authorized to prepare the plans and
specifications upon which bids would be solicited:
On notion of Trustee Yettler, the Board adjourned until
8 o'clock ?XT. of Monday, Eay 26,,1924;
