HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - April 7, 192454 CITY FAIL, CITY 0: LODI ;Monday, April 7th.,1924 The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi for the first Monday in April 1924 was called to order by the President at 8 o'clock P.M. on the date and at the place first above written, Trustees Hale, Hickok, Mett1er,3pooner and Shattuck present; none absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of March 17th.,1924 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President. NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, itane Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the quarter ended March 3lst.,1924 were read and ordered filed, also reports of the Marshal. Poundmaster and Fire Chief for the month of march. continuation (minutes of 4-7-24) Communications: The Clerk read the follo.ving: Letter from the California =arm Bureau Federation in retard to power conservation during the present drouth; Another from the Board of Public Service Commissioners of the Cit,' of Los Angeles in the same natter; 51rom H.i.Looser of the Travelers Insurance Company sol- iciting public liability insurance on the City's trucks; +'rom the President of t^e Lea--ze of California ISun- icipalities advising the Board of a Regional Planning Con- ferance at San rancisco and asking that this City be rep- resented; An application from F. 77. Rost for use of certain lands at the se -.,rage disposal plant site for demonstration purposes. All the foregoing were received without action save the last, which was taken under advisement. Bills emounting to $12,005.14as approved by the auditing f committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Trustee _ttler, Seconded by Trustee Hickok. Six building permits, totalling $1,725.00 were granted on ;notion of Trustee Mettler; Trustee Hale voting "Ila" on the anplication of foster & Zleiser for a sign board at the cor- ner of 1i' lnut and 1lain Streets. The Treasurer was authorized to run a notice of the approaching end of the tax -collecting period in "-The Lodi hews" On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee 'ii7 . F - the Clerk was directed to advertise for painting of the ceiling L_ of the bath house and the side walls of the tanks; by the same motion he was directed to call for informal proposals for cert- ain repairs at the same place returnable the 14th.
