The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi for the first Monday in February was called to order at
8 o'clock P.H. on the date and at the place first above written
by the President; Trustees Hale,Hickok,Mettler,Spooner and
Shattuck present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of January 21st,1924
were read and approved without correction.
J.E.Speares representing the Chamber of Cormerce and lun-
cheon clubs of the City appeared and asked that the selection
of an auto camp ground site be referred to the City Planning
Commission so that early action mizht be had. It was so ordered.
G.W.Le Moin advised the Board that- no action had been tak-
en by Nellie Eaton relative to the removal of a garage on Hutch-
ins Street near Pine.tCf minutes of 1-21). Mr Le Loin was advis-
ed that the Board could only use persuasive measures in causing
removal of this building.
Eight building permits were granted, total cost $14,780.00
there being some objection to that of Ms Hay Stannard at the
corner of Pleasant Avenue and Locust Church but not sufficient
to justify refusal of the permit.
On motion of Trustee Mettler, seconded by Trustee Hick-
ok, the Clerk was authorized to purchase such "business district"
and "residence district" traffic signs as the Marsha -1 might
designate.
The Clerk stating that there was an effort on foot to open
the alley north of the "Willow Tract", half of which had been
dedicated, on motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Hickok
he was -authorized to secure deeds to the south 10 feet of Lot 1,
Lodi Barnhart Tract, if possible,so tha..t the alley might be
opened to full width.
Bills amounting to $10,532.48 were ordered paid on motion
of Trustee Spooner.
On motion of Trustee Hickok, the Board adjourned;
