Monday, August 30-1926
Pursuant to adjournment taken from the adjourned reg-
ular meeting of August 23rd.,1926. the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi met in adjourned regular session at 8.07
o'clock P.M . on the date first above written, all members
present.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of
August 23rd. were read. approved as read and so endorsed
by the President.
' Mr. L. H. Rinn and Mr. Don Fraser representing the Lodi
Business Men's Association requested an additional appropria-
tion of $500 to the budget alIoaance for band purposes so as
to provide for five winter concerts. They were informed that
this matter would be considered later in the evening when.
the annual budget was adopted.
Mr. Geo. L. Meissner presented the schedule of expenses
for the Lodi Public Library and asked that the amount thereof
be incorporated in the budget.
The Board then proceeded to estimates of the City's
income and expense for the next fiscal year.
ORDINANCE No.155 " AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES IN THE
YEAR 1926 FCR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY lst.,1927" was
introduced on motion of Trustee scale, seconded by Trustee
Shattuck and by the same motion, laid over for not less than
five days.
The Board was then resolved into Committee of the Whole
and after consideration of several matters brought up by the
City Attorney, returned to open session.
Resolution No. 501, a resolution authorizing the Marshal
and City Attorney to proceed with the abatement of certain
premises on Main Street as public nuisances, was introduced by
Trustee Shattuck, seconded oy Trustee Roach and carried by
unanimous vote or. all members of the Board.
The Clerk reported that representatives of Lodi Canning
Company were prepared to meet with the Board at any time con-
venient to the latter in adjusting the City's claims for
re -imbursement for use of the Sewerage Disposal -Plant.
On motion of Trustee Weihe, the Board adjourned until
Tuesday, September 7th..1926 at the hour of 8 o clock P.M;
the date of the next regular meeting falling on a holiday.
