Pursuant to adjournment taken from the regular meeting
of April 19th.,1926, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi
met zn adjourned regular session at 8.17 o'clock P . on the
above date, Trustees Hale, Roach, Shattuck, '7eihe and Spooner
present, none absent.
The minutes of the meeting s of April •19th.,1926 were
read, approved as read with one minor correction and so end-
orsed byythe President.
The Clerk informed the Board that no protests against the
proposed work on Lockeford Street, Stockton Street and Washing-
ton'Street as undertaken under Resolution of Intention No. 70
had .'peen filed up to and including the hour of 8 o'clock P.M;
and the Board having acquired jurisdiction to order the work,

In the matter of the improvement of aortion of ;fest
Pine Street in Hutchins Oak Street Addition; the City Attorney
having prepared and submitted a proper Resolution of Intention
the sae was passed and adopted under Number 70 by the follow-
ing vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Shattuck, Roach Hale,•sieihe & Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, None.

appears at page 180-A of these minutes)
Four building permits for residences aggregating $24,930.00
were ordered granted.
Trustee Weihe as chairman of the special cannittee appoint-
ed April 19th. to investigate the merits of the proposed stieet
to be opened between Central and .7ashington , north frau Maple
Street, reported that he had viewed the lands and that he favor-
ed the payment of $150.00 to 'Nary A. Brant provided that other
owners donated the right-of-way.The Clerk was instructed to
prepare proper deeds and have tem executed.
Trustee Roach as chairman of the special committee also
appointed April 19th., on weekly concerts in the par's, submit-
ted the proposal of John Bauer wherein he offered to put on
ten concerts, with one gratis, for $1,000.00. On Lotion of
Trustee Shattuck. seconded by Trustee Hale Mr Bauer was employ-
ed in accordance with his oiler, payments to be made in ten
installments as the concerts were rendered. Unanimously carried.
In the matter of the application made April 19th.,, by
J.C.Burson as Trustee of Bethel Tabernacle, for refund 01 taxes
Caid in 1926. the City Attorney affirmed the stand taken by the
ity Clerk and stated that the taxes could not be refunded.
On motion of Trustee Teihe, and at the suggestion of
Trustee Shattuck. who seconded the motion the date for opening
the municipal baths was advanced to Thursday, April 29th.,1926
The application of Fred J. Post for an increase of salary
was denied at this time, the Board stating that no increases
would be granted until the setting of the.tax rate in September.
On motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Roach,
the Superintendent of Public Utilities was instructed to inst-
