'his regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi was called to oraer at 8.10 o'clock P.M..on the above written date, Trustees male Mettler, Roach, Shattuck and Spooner present, the latter presiding. The :minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of March 22nd.,1926 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President. This being the date set by notice,duly published,for the reception of bids for the construction of a storm drain in Lockefora Street in anticipation of the improvement of that street, the Clerk proceeded to open and declare the bids rec- eived, which were as follows: - BIDDER tJ.F.Rench 16" conc.pipe laid, job complete . 1.38 ft. o68 -9th St.14" do do : 1.23 ft. Trustee Shattuck moved, Trustee Mettler second. that the same be taken under advisement and award made or bids rejected at a meeting to be held cn Thursday April 12th., 1926 . Unanimously carried. In the matter of the purchase of land from R.P. Barbour: The Clerk reported that deeds hid been prepared one to City and one to Anna Heil, the latter beim deposited with himself, and on , motion of Trustee Hale,seconded by Trustee Mettler, payment of : `j L the full price of the and . $1,200.00 to R.P. Barbour and Mary C. Barbour his wife, wax authorized by the passage of Resolution Noe 492 by the following vote: - AYES: Trustees, HaleJlettier Roach,Shattuck & Spooner. • NOES: Trustees. None. ABSENT: Trustees, None. After limited discussion by representatives of cement and asphaltic paving concerns as to their relative merits, the Board retired as Cittee of the Whole to consider the type of pavement to be used in Lockeford Street and in the West end. of Pine Street and on their return to the Council Chambers, the President announced that they had decided to continue with the asphaltic type and would adopt specifications therefore. Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Roach introduced 1° Resolution No. 70-A, A Resolution Adopting Plans and Specifications for the Improvement of Portions of Lockeford Street, Sockton Street and Washington Street and the same was adopted by the fol- lowing vote:- AYES: ote:- AYES: Trustees. Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Roach, introduced Resolution No. 70-B Resolution Approvrag District Diagram for 13' the district to be Assessed for to Pay the Costs and Expenses of the Improvement Provided by Resolution No. 70 to be Later - Adopted and the same was adopted by the following vote:- -��_ AYES: Trustees. Shattuck,Roach,Hale,Me..tler,Spobner. NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees , None. At this time Trustee gale introduced Resolution of Intent- ion Pio. .70 and the same was approved and adopted by the following 1 vote: - AYES: • Trustees Hale; Shattuck, Mettler, roach and Spooner. NOES: Trustees, None. - ABSENT: Trustees, None, page 170 ofctpphese mthis Resolution of Intention follows on Reports from the Marshal and Poundmaster were read and ordered filed without comment, Report of the fire chief for the quarter ended March 31st., was also read and ordered to the files. Four building penaits aR;regating $ 2,650.00 were ordered granted. Bills in the amount of $ 9.336.29 -as approved b the finance committee were ordered paid on motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Mettler. On Motion of Trustee Mferttler the Board adjourned until 8 o'clock P.M. of Thursday, April tth.,1926.
