City Hall, City of Lodi
Monday, March 1st.. 1926
This regular meetin of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order at 8.10 o'clock P.M. by the
President, Trustees Hale, i{ettler, Roach and Spooner present,
Trustee Shattuck absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of February 15th.,
1926 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Pres-
ident.
Lr. Neil D. Shank on behalf of the local post of
the American Legion, offered the Legion's services in grading
and levelling the proposed new park in the Lawrence Addition.
The President of the Board, on behalf of the City,accepted the
tender and thanked the members of the legion for heir offer.
Reports from the Poundmaster and Marshal for the month
of February were submitted, read and ordered filed.
In the matter of the improvement of portions of Locke -
ford Street, Stockton Street and +aashington Street:
The City Engineer, as directed at the meeting of Feb-
ruary 15th.t submitted a district diagram with plans and spec-
ifications for the improvement contemplated.
Resolution No. 69-B, Resolution Adopting and Approv-
ing Diagram Delineating the Extent of Lands to be Assessed to
Pay the Costs and Expenses for the Improvement of portions of
Lockeford Street, Stockton Street and-Jashington Street, was
introduced by Trustee Mettler and approved and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: Trustees, kettler Hale Roach and S000ner
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustee, Shattuck.
Resolution No. 69-A, Resolution Adopting and Approv-
ing Plans and Specifications as Prepared and Submitted by the
City Engineer for the work contemplated in Resolution of Intent-
ion No. 69, to be later adopted, was passed by the following
vote: -
AYES: Trustees. Hale, Mettler, Roach and Spooner
Noes: Trustees, None. Absent; Trustee, Shattuck.
RESOLUTION GF.INTENTION NO. 69 was introduced on
motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Roach and passed and
adopted by the following vote: -
AYES : Trustees, Hale, Roach, Mettler and Spooner.
NOES: Trustees None. ABSENT: Trustee, Shattuck.

Ch motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Roach
and unanimously carried, the Clerk was directed to advertise
for labor and material neaessarp to lay storm drains in that
portion of Lockeford Street to be improved under the fore-
going Resolution of Intention.

sr7:introduced on February 15th.,1925, was in introduced,
this time for passage on motion of Trustee Hale, seconded
Trustee Roach and finally passed and ordered to print by
the following vote :-
AYES: Trustees, Hale ,Roach Mettler and Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSETYT: Trustee, Shattuck.
The above ordinance was then signed in approval by the
President.
At the order of the Board, the Marshal.was directed to
inquire into the methods of other cities in the housing of
impounded animals and their ultimate disposition, in not re-
deemed.
Five building its arei $550.00 were allowed
and ordered granted, the aonliaation of -Roy �7. Coleman, num-
bered 481, dated February :2nd.,1926, for permission to erect

a frame dwelling at the south end of Church Street on the
W 230 of the E 440 feet of Lot 1, Block 7, Hutchins Addition
was denied in -as -much as proceedings to open Church Street
to the South City Limit were under way and this proposed
structure would be in the direct line of the street.
On motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Roach,
the City Engineer was directed to prepare a district diagram
and pplat for opening Church Street southerly to the City
Limiia and for ooeni under the same proceeding, the alley
running north and south through. the "Black Tract to the same
termination.
Bills as audited by the finance committee were allowed
and ordered paid in the amount of $9,977.96 on motion of
Trustee Mettler, seconded by Trustee Roach.
On motion of Trustee Mettler, the Board adjourned.
