HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - November 16, 1925152 City Hail,City of Lodi Monday, November 16-1925 This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi was called to order by the President at 8.05 P.M. on the date first above written; Trustees Eale,t"ettler,Roach, Shattuck and Spooner present, none absent. The minutes of the regular meetings of October 19th and November 2nd.,1925 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President. The Clerk read a letter from Dr. W. M. Dickie of the Cal- ifornia State Board of Health transmitting a copy of the perman- ent permit granted by the State Board November 7th.,1925 for the operation of the City's sewage disposal plant and the discharge of effluent therefrom into the Stockton & Mokelumne Canal Company's main canal. Special Traffic Officer rendered a report covering his activities during the month of October, and the same was ordered filed. In the matter of Ordinance No. 151 introduced on November 2nd.,1925 wherein it is proposed to grant Central Pacific Railway and Southern Pacific Company a spur track franchise on brain Street: City Attorney Glenn .lest, being present, recommended that the ordinance be not passed to print at this time as he had not rec- eived executed copies of the agreement with these Companys u:on which agreement's execution the ordinance was predicated.It was so ordered. Twelve building permits for structures at a total estim- ated cost of $14,550.00 were ordered granted. ORDINANCE No.152 " AN ORDINANCE LICENSING FOR THE PURPOSE CCS' REVENUE AND REGULATION EVERY KIND OF LAWFUL BUSINESS HEREIN SPECIFIED, TRANSACTED OR CARRIED ON WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIDilTS OF THE CITY OF LODI, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE RATE OF LICENSE TAXES UPON THE SADA'., PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF SAID LICENSE TAXES AND PINISHMENT FOR THE CARRYING ON OF SUCH BUSINESS OR BUSINESSES WITHOUT A LICENSE AND REPEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES" was introduced on motion of Trustee Halem seconded by Trustee Shattuck and by the same motion, laid over for not less than five days. Matt Sherman, truck driver in the Fire Department was granted leave of absence with pay for two weeks. On motioof Trustee ttler, the Board adjourned. Attest resident :e Board. C/ City Clerk.
