This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi was called to order by the President at 8.07 P.M. on the
date first above written, Trustees Hale, Roach, Spooner and Shat-
tuck present, Trustee 1:ettler absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of October 5th.,1925
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
No persons appearing before the Board, the order of Public
Hearings was passed. by unanimous consent.
In the matter of contract with E.L. Van Buskirk for use of
a well in Block 3 of Burr's Addition, it appearing that the cont-
ract as read August 17th should be amended to read at paragraph
six so that City agrees to furnish all the water which may be
required by E.L.Van Buskirk, Mrs.Angie Van Buskirk or Ray Van
Buskirk on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 of Burr's Addition;
the Clerk was directed to strike out the words "for irrigating"
and substitute the word "on" in line 5 of said paragraph six .
The President was then authorized to execute the contract
as amended by the passage of Resolution No. 483-A by the following
vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Shattuck Roach,Hale and Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustee, Settler.
Reports of the Treasurer and City Clerk for the quarter
ended September lst.,1925 were read and ordered filed.
City Engineer L. F. Barzellotti as delegate to the con-
vention of the League of California Municipalities held at Long
Beach, rendered a detailed report of the proceedings of the
Convention.
The Clerk read a letter from Dr. 7alter 1!. Dickie of the
State Board of Health advising the Board that the final hearing
in the matter of application of City of Lodi for a permanent
permit to discharge effluent from its activated sludge sewage
disposal plant into the main canal of Stockton and Lokelumne
Canal Company would be had before the State Board of Health
in San Francisco on Saturday, November 7th.,1925. As there
seemed no probability of any objections arising at this hearing,
no action was deemed necessary.
Eighteen building permits for structures of a total value
of $29,180.00 were granted.

On motion Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Shattuck,
bills in the amount of $2,706.43 as audited were allowed and
ordered paid.
On motion of Trustee dale, seconded by Trustee Roach,
it was ordered that all o°ficers of the Lodi Volunteer Fire
Department not attending 750 of the drills regularly held by
the Department should be dropped from the City's Pay Roll.
kotion carried unanimously.
On motion of Trustee Shattuck, the Board adjvirned
to the day and hour of their next regular meeting.
