HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - July 20, 1925136 City Hall, City of Lodi Monday, July 20-192b This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi was called to order at 8.15 o'clock P.M. on the date and at the place first herein written; Trustees Mettler, Roach, Shattuck and Spooner present, Trustee Hale, absent. Minutes of the regular meeting of July 6th. were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President. Under the head of Public Hearings and Protests, the Board listened to the verbal application of L.O.','lisler for the contract to audit the City's books; the matter was taken under advisement. COMMUNICATIONS; a letter from the Lodi Business Lena Association in regard to more benches at band concerts was read in full. The clerk read a proposal for blanket insurance on city property and on motion of Trustee Mettler, seconded by Trustee Shattuck, he was instructed to try and procure the services of John J. Hieb and J. Frank Matson as valuation experts. quarterly reports of Clerk & Treasurer were read and ordered filed. The sum of $2,678.38 was ordered transferred from General Fund to Street Assessment Bond Fund by the passage of Resolution No. 483 by unanimous vote, said sum represent- ing the amounts of delinquent street assessments for the year 1924-25. On notion of Trustee Mettler, City Engineer L.F.Barz- ellotti was a.:pointed delegate to the annual convention of the League of California Municipalities to be held at Long Beach, California in September. Five building permits aggregatiig $8,900 were granted. The Clerk was directed to write H.H.Ninas at Auburn, Calif. and advise him that, though this Board could not exe- cute such a contract as he had with the School Board, they would assure him that the City's portion of play ground salaries would surely be paid. Bills aggregating $5,040.17 as approved by the Audit- ing Committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of 137 Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Roach. 9t the motion of Trustee Roach, the Board adjourned.
