Monday, May 25 - 1925
Pursuant to adjournment taken from the regular meet-
ing of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi held May 18th,
this meeting was called to order by the President at 8 o'clock
P.M. at the place and on the date first above written, Trustees
Hale, Mettler, Roach, Shattuck and Spooner present, none absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Eay 18th -1925
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
The Board then proceeded to consider bids received
May 18th.,1925 for voltage regulators and on recommendation
of Superintendent Henning, decided to reject all bids and
y purchase voltage regulators of the kind desired in open market;
this was done by the passage of Resolution No. 478 by the fol-
lowing vote: Ayes, Trustees Hale,Shattuck,Mettler,Roach and
Spooner; Noes , None, Absent, None.
This being the date set by notice duly given for the
opening of bids for repairs to "Tokay Arch"; the Board proceed-
ed to review the bids received, being those of Joseph Dotson
and Alex Schwartzman Bids being in excess of estimate, the
matter was laid over until June lst.,1925 on motion of Trustee
Shattuck, seconded by Trustee Mettler.
Mr. A. T. Flynn, representing the "Marbelite Corpor-
ation"applied for permission to erect two sample lighting
standards at Central and Lodi Avenues, his company to assume
all expense. Permission granted.
The Board then proceeded to consider the matter of
opening California Street but meeting with some objection from
M. rocacci who objected to the location::of the proposed street
the matter was laid over until the next meeting in order to
allow the City Engineer to show Mr Focacci that the street lines
were properly located.
The Clerk was directed to notify last years pully -ground
commission that the Board would like to confer with them on the
Wedensday following.
On motion of Trustee Shattuck the Board adjourned.
