This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order_at five minutes past eight
o'clock.P,M. on the date and at the place first above writ-
ten; Trustees Hale, Mettler, Roach, Shattuck and Spooner
present, the latter presiding.
A;inutes of the regular meeting of April ZOth.,1925
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
Traffic Officer Clyde 0. Jackson filed a detailed
report for the month of April showing 33 arrests for motor
vehicle act violations and a.total of fines collected as
a result thereof of a210,00,with 13. cases still pending.
City Marshal Christesen's monthly report was also sub-
mitted, showing collections on account of business licenses
of $338.00; dog tags,$22.00 and court fines of $305.90.
Both reports were ordered filed.
Five building permits totalling $11,300.00 were order-
ed granted.
Bills amounting, to $9,566.31 were allowed as audited
and ordered paid on motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by
Trustee Mettler.
City Engineer Barzellotti'asked that the Board commun-
icate with the State Highway Commission and express their
interest in the proposed paving of Cherokee Lane at a.fifty
foot width providing some means could be ascertained whereby
abutting property owners could pay their share of the strips
outside the twenty foot center proposed to be paved by the
State. Attorney Glenn West offered to take the gaiter up with
the State Highway Commission and obtain their views in this
utter ; the affair was left in his. hands.
On motion of Trustee Shattuck, the Clerk was directed
to advertise for bids for repairing the "Toka3r Arch" at
Pine Street.
On motion of Trustee Sha uck, the Bo rsl adjourned.
