Monday, April th.,1925
This regular meeting of the Board o£ Trustees of the City
of Lodi was called to order bythe President at 8 o'clock P.M.
on the above date; Trustees Hale, Mettler, Roach, Shattuck and
Spooner present, none absent.
The minutes of the adjourned meeting of March 30th.,1925
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
Public Hearinga & Protests:
Fate Hein personally appeared before the Board and again
made application for water, electric and sewer service at his
residence under construction in Elk 40 of the Lodi Barnhart
Tract: there being no open streets or dedicated alleys leading
to Mr Hein's land, no action was taken.
J.H.'Ne1ch, on behalf of J. Unternaher, asked permission
to amend the specifications contained in Application for Build-
ing permit #372, granted March 16th.,1925 so as to admit of
wood construction in lieu of metal. As the proposed building
is -to be outside the fire limits, this alteration was allowed.
Reports of the Marshal, Poundmaster and Plumbing insp-
ector for the month of March and of the Fire Chief for the
quarter ended Maroh 31st were read and ordered filed.
Communications:
The proposal of the City to purchase the electric line
of the J.S.G. & F. Company leading to the City Pump on the
Sanguinetti place was acknowledged by the latter company as
received but no action possible on the same until the return
of Mr. Samuel Kahn from Chicago.
Reverend David Todd Gilmor of the local Episcopal Church
asked that all City offices be closed from 12 -o'clock Noon until -
3.00 P.M. on "Good Friday", April 10-1925 and on motion of
Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Shattuck, it was so ordered.
Unfinished Business: -
.On motion of Trustee Mettler, seconded by Trustee Shattuck,
Clyde 0. Jackson was appointed as special Traffic Officer and
Deputy City Marshal for .a period of ninety days at a salary of
510.00 per day for not exceeding three days per week.

Nein Business:
Two building permits totalling $600.00 Were applied for
sod ordered granted.
Bills amounting to $9,691.97 as approved by the auditing
Committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Trustee
Hale, seconded by Trustee Shattuck:
On motion of Trustee Shattuck, the Board adjourned until
the date of their next regular meeting.
