_ et...i1 Merchants Bureau requested an amendment to the
ordinance 'restricting automobile parking to two hours
in certain parts o' the City so as to include that part
of Church Street lying between the Northerly line of
Cak Street and the Southerly line of Elm Street. It
e . -sri ..at but two mercantile establishments would
be a__ected by this change and that such a restriction
would _ply to several residential lots, it was direct-
ed that ,. showing of necessity be made before adding
this portion of Church Street to the restricted parting
area.
Lodi District Chamber of Commerce reeuested that the
City Cprl._„ii join with other public bodies and ini vid-
uals in su:oorting efforts to secure air transportation
for this district, especially by writing our represent-
__'_'ree in. Congress. The City Clerk was instructed to
call the attention of Representative Leroy Johnson and
Senator Sheridan Downey to ,he needs and possibilities
of this district in the way of air transportation.

erred for consideration under the .roper order of bus-

j.Hamilton Davis, owner of a 60 ft by 68 ft lot on the
SE corner of Locust Street and Pleasant Avenue applied
for permission to connect to water and sewer in the
alley between Elm & Locust Streets by lines along the
sidewalk space on. _sasant Avenue. It was directed that
Er Davis be advised that the City would construct such
connections when desired at his expense.
Report,of the Chief of Police and of the City Pound -
master for July were received, read and ordered filed,
likewise the Quarterly Report and Annual Report of the
Chief of the Fire Department. The City Clerk's report
of july ^_oiiect'c_n_s of garbage fees received the same
attention.
