body to attend a conference to be held with the California Youth Authority

and Dempsey D. S:rdth, Secretary -Manager of the same organization: addressed
the City Council in regard to a California Aviation Conference called by
Chamb_-rs o:' Ce.«erce of several of the larger California cities to be held
in Los Angeles, December 12th and 13th. Mr .loodworth stated that the
Direcpors of the local Chamber of Commerce had selected C. H. Ble::ett as
their representative and su,gested that the City name Melvin a. a:=.ord
to represent this City. At the order of the Mayor, this matter :ras laid
over for action later in the meeting.

to execute the renewal of the purchase agreement for the City's require-
ments of liquid chlorine for the calendar year 1945.

Mr L. P. Singer Jr., assistant City Engineer, reported that he, Mr C.L.

of the work to be undertaken in repairing sidewalk, curbs and gutters on
the NE corner of School and Fine Streets, also, that he had prepared the
plans and specifications for the work and vias subm..itti.*ig them to City
Engineer C. L. ",.:ite for his approval.
