MINUTES IF PREVIOUS IMTING - The.Minutes of the last Council meeting held September 15, 1943 were read at length by the Clerk, approved as read and so endorsed by Mayor P.inn. The Superintendent of Streets was authorized to place and maintain "I Parking Between Signs" signs of the east side of South Sacramento Street along hapl9 Square in an attempt to remedy congested conditions on this rsrro-•r street. Ylhite would not be able to allocate -the time he has been devoting to the City of Lodi on account of the necessity of his teachins classes in -Stanford university for at least the balance of this year, it was moved by Councilman Coffield, Figgs second, that Yr 7ite be allowed his full compensation of $3CO.00 for the month of October and $ 150.00 a month for November and December, adiustcPrit c for __-seeding months to be made as circ=.stances might justify. V On recocnendation of Chief of Police Jackson, the salary of Elvin T. Schnabel, Police Patrolman was ordered increased from $170.00 to 6 180.00 effective as of October 1, 1943 he having served over one year in his present salary classification. ?lotion CouTicilma.-i Spooner, Rigors second.
