The lfa:ror was authorized to execute an agreement for the purchase of electric watt-hour meters with Duncan Electric Company for the calendar year 1943 on motion of Councilman Coffield, Weihe second. The Clerk was directed to prepare and use a form of written statement to be used where premises served by multiple water connections are vacated in part, such statement to bear the co:anittment of the owner or lessee of the premises vacated that no water would be used thereon until authorized by the proper city authority and that all water outlets would be closed. The a_?lication of E.T.7isner for a use permit to allow the construction of a sh.At iron garage on the South 50 feet of Lot 9 in Block 2 of Forrests Addition was ordered to take the usual course. The City Engineer was directed to prep;se an estimate of the cost of enlarging the quarters of the Lodi dar Price and Rationing Board in the City Hall basement by extending existing offices southerly to the south frill of the basement. Lir J. A. ::ening, Superintendent of Public Utilities was authorized to list a supply of large copper -wire as surplus inventcr7 and offer the same for sale to a qualified purchaser.
