ABSENT: Ccun_cilman, Graffi}:a. Notices of transfer of liquor licenses held by Joe Teresi to Salvatore '_resist 314 Zest Lodi Avenue were received fron the State Beard of Equalization. Business license applications of F.S.Rasco Company and of Lona Jobe, cumbered 297 and 299 were allowed and licenses ordered granted. Tte Council a -proved the renting of a parcel of ground south of the Sewage Disposal Plant to William Hildenbrand at an annual rental of $15.00 per year to be on written agreement especially providing that the land be kept clean and clear of Needs. Cn motion made, second and carried, the City Clerk was instructed to pay the sunu of $300.00 to Tokay Sand for July concerts, such payment to be rade from the "Revolving Fund" in his custody. An agreement with the Division of Highways for expenditure of i¢ gasoline taxes on State Highways in the City for the fiscal year 1941-42 was aeproved 'oy the adoption of Resolution No. 1082 by the following vote: NCES: Councilmen, Riggs, ;Yeihe, Bull and Steele. Councilmen, None. ABSENT: Councilman, Graffigna. The offer of Ben Scott to convey a strip of land fifty feet in width across his property in "Beckman Subdivision" for the opening of Pyr". Street westerly to Hutchins Street for the sum of E650.CO was taken under advisement. At 9:45 o'clock, the Mayor called the City Council into executive se sion as Committee of the Whole, returning to regular session at 10:30 o'clock P.M. Conforming to the provisions of Ordinance No. 273, the Mayor rade the fo_lc•..inr appointments to the Local Defense Council created thereby: As Vice-chairman, Councilman W. E. Riggs. s Chairman of the Committee on Civil .rotection, r,lice Chief C. S.
