Henning and on motion of 'ezncilman uraffinna, seconded by Councilman "eihe, the Clerk was directed to abate the three dollar connection charge to rresent customers of the Pacific 'Gas and slectric .or'pany chan_nin- over to city lines in order to induce them to make the change and thereby do away with duplication o: poles and wires inside the City. Cr: motion of Councilman Aeihe, seconded by Council- man -- s, the superintendent of Public Utilities was authorized to install a drinking fountain in the Old Salem School Grounds. On motion of Oouncilman Bull, seconded by Council- man '3raffi na, the turchase of linoleum for the East side fire house was authorized. Clinton r-enning stated that the stadium was nearing completion and consideration should be liven to the rurchase of toilets ani other plumbing fixtures. He estimated the cost of these at about 151,500 but stated that they may be purchased for as little as 51,250.
