The minutes of the last ne et in- held June 5, 1940 were read, ar_roved as read and so endorsed by the y-aror. A ^ele,ation from the Lodi Lion's Club addressed the Council in regard to the removal of the 10V charge made the he City for swimming at lake Park. TheFinancial Otatement of the Lodi ooft Ball Association for the period ending June 7, 1940 was received, _ eaa and ordered filed. A letter was received fro= the City of Lodi nmrloyee's Association thankin7 the Council for the use of the Council Chambers and also for the transfer of moneys previously held in the City an.1oyees' +tielfare Fund to the treasury of the former association, Recommendations were received from the City Flanniri Commission as follows: lst: That the L'ity Council take measures to establish a buildin. setback line on both sides of Lodi Avenue in preparation for its ultimate widenin3 which was referred to the City Attorney and the City Engineer. 2nd: A recommendation that the = olice Derart:=ent be instructed to enforce the ordinance ori all r_i_ht parking or the streets of this city.
