The Yayor announced that the purpose of this meeting, as Stated I.D. the adjourn ent above cited, was to hear the objections of '_.. L. Sherman and M. T. Seeley against the proposed an-cellation of permits to operate and conduct cemp grounds issued under Ordinance No. 248 and to consider the complaint filed by P.W.Loawen and others, alleging constant violation of the terns of this ordir_ance by these per_ittees. Attorney Rob,rt H. Riau, representing Seeley, presented oral argue - bents in favor of his client. A :mitten petition signed by a majority of the property omers on the Lockeford Road, asking that these permits be revoked, -nas read at length by the :leek, and 1'r Reuben Rott, attorney for Lowen pressed the accusations contained in the petition, stating that only three out of t.renty three camp trailers in these camps vmmre capable of being moved easily, the rest being attached to the ^round. t:r L. E. Sher^an presented a written denial of the accusations and filed a petition bearing t%senty-three names of persons stating that they desired the camp ground to remain. The Council failed to see that there were any extenuating circumstances as 1'r ?.-euh had been notified by the Building Inspector that his building foundation fortes were too near the side line of the lot before he had poured any concrete. On notion of Councilman Jeihe, the City Council then adjourned. The foregoing, minutes of ar. adjou ped meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held April 1, 1940, were read at a subsequent meeting of said City Council held April 3, 1940 and approved without correction. 1_:"10? 0?
