This regular muting of the City Council of the
City of Lodi was called to order by the Mayor at 5:00
o'clock r .ir . on ' ednesday, ;,:arch 6, 1910, Councilmen Clark,
Graffigna, Spooner, 'a';eihe and zteele present, none absent.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held
February 21st and the adjourned meeting of February 27, 1940
were read approved as read and so endorsed by the Wayor.
The transfer of building permit application :+o. 2352
dated February 23, 1739 from -F. -, . Zimbleman to hers. kollie
Nickel was allowed on motion reE-ularly made and carried.
Notice of the Spring Conference of the ?:ayors and
Councilmen section of the League of California Cities to be
held in Fresno, D.Tarch 28th and 29th was received and read.
Reports of the Chief of police and of the City
=oun_--+aster for the month of February were received, read
and ordered riled.
°usiness License applications Dios. 151 to 155 were
allowed and licenses ordered zran_ted.
The addition of South Church street from a point
500 feet south of 'Tokay Street to Kettleman Lane to the list
of `'Major Streets" was approved by the adoption of
Resolution No. 1011 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen, Spooner, Graffigna, Clark,
o,'eihe and Steele

Ordinance Pio. 266 entitled "APT ORDINANCE Ai:=?_IP:G

introduced on motion of Councilman Spooner, seconded by
Councilman jraffiSna, read at length by the Clerk and ordered
laid over for the statutory period of not less than five
days by the followir_„ vote:
AYES: Councilmen, Spooner, Graffigna, Clary:, ,eihe
and Steele.

The application of Irey Brothers for a variance
permit to allow extension of a non -conforming use of
buildings at No. 734 East Locust Street was ordered referred
to the City Flannino Commission by order of the 'Mayor.
in the matter of the violation of the building
laws at ='o. 25 LeForce Avenue whereby the addition of a
porch intruded into the set back line, was left in the hands
of the buildinZ inspector.
The application_ of Fueller and `i•eitz for the
installation of .�asolire storage tanks in connection with
a aasolir_e service station on the �outhvvest corner of Tokay
and Cherokee was ordered ;;ranted on motion of Councilman
vieihe, seconded by CoarciL:.an Graffigna.

Cr. r.:otion of Ccurcilr.:an 6_ ooner seconded by
Councilr.ar. Graffi na, the City En-ineer was directed to
complete -,lans and specifications for a building to house
the local office of the State Department of-mployment
subject to su � :•estiens from that departner_t as to interior
details.
Claims amounting to ;x23,382.03 were allowed and
ordered paid on motion of Cou-ncil-man Graffigna, seconded
by Co;ncilman Yreihe.

r.:unicip,al baths about 200 feet easterly for use as a boys'
