TUESDAY, JUTE 13, 1939
A specialmeeting of the City Council of the City
of Lodi was held on Tuesday, June 13, 1939 beginning at
7:30 o'clock =.L, consent of all members in the following
form being on file prior to the hour of meeting, (Councilmen
Clark, Graffigna, Spooner and Steele present, Councilman
Weihe absent) .

We, the undersigned, being all of the members of
the City Council of the City of Lodi, do hereby waive formal
notice of a special meeting of said City Council to be held
at 7:30 o'clock P.M. of Tuesday, June 13th, 1939 in the office
of the City Clerk in the City hall of said City and do hereby
consent that such meeting be held for the purpose of passing
Ordinances Ho. 252 and No. 253 and the consideration of bids
on the fire truck and such other matters as may legally come
before said Council.

After call of the roll, on motion of Councilran
Graffigna, Ordinance No. 252, entitled "AN ORDINANCE DETER-
MINING :HAT THE 7:HOLE CF LODI LAKE PARK IS A PUBLIC PLAYGROUND
AND PLACE OF PUBLIC ASSEMBLAGE, THAT ALL TEE HIGHWAYS AID
DRIVEWAYS IN SAID PARK PASS PLACES OF PUBLIC ASSEMBLAGE AND
T__RCU. H SUCH :'.-_LIC PL.AYaROUHDS, FIXING A PRIMA FACIE SPEED
LIMIT UPON SAID 5IGE;AYS AND DRIVEWAYS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF" was brought up for final passage,
second reading omitted. Motion seconded by Councilman Clark
and finally carried and the ordinance adopted by the follow-
ing vote:
AYES: Councilmen, Graffigna, Clark, Spooner and
.ayor Steele
NOES: Councilmen, None
ABSENT: Councilmen, iveihe
The Mayor then signed the ordinance in approval
thereof.
On motion of Councilman Graffigna, seconded by
Councilman Clark, Ordinance No. 253, entitled "AN ORDINANCE
._.LING JBDI'•i ISION 1 OF SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 161,
AND PRO'; IDING F0:'. THE TIMES FOR HOLDING REGULAR MEETIA;GS
OF THE LODI CITY CO=IL" was brought up for passage, second
reading omitted, ant finally passed and adopted by the
following vote:

The !'M=ayor then signed the ordinance in approval
thereof.
After consideration o: bids received June 5th,
1939 for the furnishing of a fire truck and equipment and
c=sultation with the Chief of the mire Department, the
Co:tncil decided that they :fere still unable to reach a
decision, and all _proposals were ordered tai;en under
further adviser..ent until the next Council meeting to be
held June 17, 1939.
On motion of the i,ayor, the City Council then
adourned.
