TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 1938
Pursuant to the adjournment taken by the City Clerk
from the regular meeting of the City Council due to be held
December 5, 1958, the City Council of the City of Lodi met
in adjourned regular session at 8:00 o'clock e.*, on the date
first above written. Co-.:ncilmen Clark, Graffigna, Spooner,
G;eihe and Steele, present, none absent.

The minutes of the last meetinS held I:ovember 21,
1938 were read, approved as read and zo endorsed by the i;:ayor.
Yayor Steele presented a proposal from D. B.
Doepke for the sale of tti:enty acres lying Easterly from the
City Sewage Lisposal Plant in Section 11, T3L, R6E and after
some discussion he referred the matter to the Corittee on
Public -Health and Safety.
A letter of thanks was received from the League
of California Elunicipalities in appreciation of the City
Council assuming to pay a larger amount of dues in 1939.
Applications for business licenses lo. 569 to
and including No. 572 were allo:ed and ordered granted.
A Petition to the Board of Supervisors for the
cancellation of county taxes on lands inside the City was
authorized by the passage of Resolution Lo. 979 introduced
on motion of Cour_cilpan Graffigna, seconded by Councilman
Weihe.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the L_ayor be, and he is hereby
authorized and d_rected for and on behalf of this City Council
to petition the Board of Su,,-:e.viscrs of the County of -an
Joaquin to cancel said taxes and any and all previous taxes,
any), and any penalties and costs assessed against either
o; said parcels, all in accordance with the _provisions of

The foregoing Resolution _:o. 575 was then passed and \
adopted by the unanimous vote of the City Council.

The Clr_rk was also directed to write the Superintendent of
the Southern Pacific Conpany in the name of the Council
in r•ebard to the dan6erous condition of the Woodbridge
Branch tracks on Lockeford Street.
On motion of Councilman Spooner, seconded by Cour_ciln:an
:eihe and carried the Council aperoved the location_ of
future streets in Live Oak Colony Eo. 1 as recommended by
the City Planning Commission.
Claims in the amount of ',;2, ! „Z 7.02 as approved by
the ^'finance Committee .:ere allow -ed and warrants ordered
drawn in ,ayr.ent therefor on motion of Councilman Spooner,
seconded by Councilman eihe.
