room on motion of Councilr..an .eihe, seconded by Coancilnan
Clark.
The California State -:�:loyment Service by letter
thanked the Council for its assistance in furrishin- the
service r:ith an office in the City ball.
Six Building Permits i;o. 1c4C to and including
c. 1546 for structures to cost tie5z,275. ':ere allor:ed and
ordered ;ranted.
The Clerk reported that Joseph and blbert =marry
of nt. 6, Boa: 205, Stockton, ot:ners of the seven acres
i=ediately North of the Sera -e Disposal slant had set a
price of ti36,000. on the whole parcel and ':could not consider
selling less than the hole.

in the matter of F. J. Dolcater who claimed damages to his
property from overflow of the .ocdbrid�re Canal South of the
City's Sevrage I;isposal dant, also kr.- :est reported at
length and filed his ti.ritten opinion -^ reSard to the City's
liability in goverrmental and proprietary functions. I1:r.
'Vest stated that he had presented this resume of the law
aplieable to such cases so that the Council could consider
liability insurance coverage.
